Protect and strengthen your immune system

Activate your defenses

A strong immune system fights infections caused by viruses and bacteria.

Infection can only be prevented through hygiene measures and mindful interaction.
If pathogenic viruses and bacteria enter the body, our immune cells take over and destroy the pathogens.

What impedes the function of the immune system (selection)?

  • Chronic diseases
  • stimulants (e.g. smoking, alcohol)
  • unfavorable diet
  • Stress
  • Unfavorable sleep hygiene
  • Chronic pain

Naturopathy offers many ways of preparing the body for an infection and influencing the course of the disease.

I offer you in my practice(*) . ..

Osteopathy

The task of an osteopath is to loosen tense and less mobile tissue.
This has an influence on circulation, including in the lymphatic system.
The lymphatic channels and blood vessels are the highways of the immune cells.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture, Qi Gong and other traditional Chinese healing methods can be used to influence the life energy (Qi).
Stress, chronic illnesses or pain can be associated with Qi deficiency or stagnation of Qi.

Traditional naturopathy

Whether Pastor Kneipp or Hildegard von Bingen – traditional European medicine offers a huge wealth of experience for health and well-being.

Relaxation

A wellness massage or practicing breathing techniques help you to relax physically and mentally.

Sport

Fitness training is a real stress killer.
You can learn how to improve your strength, endurance and flexibility in my personal training sessions.

Hypnosis

Fears and worries stress the body, affect sleep and distort our perception.
Hypnosis can help you to give your life structure and deal better with unwanted influences.
Hypnotherapy is also used to quit nicotine.

Migraine

One in three people with chronic headaches have migraines. Migraine is a disease of the brain in which nerve cells are impaired in their function. This results in changes to the blood vessels in the brain, which are controlled by the nerve cells. Patients often experience migraines in the form of migraine attacks. These are

Checklist: How vulnerable is your immune system?

  • Do you regularly go to the doctor for the same complaints?
    – A chronic illness can affect the work of the immune system.
  • Do you eat a “normal” diet?
    – What is normal these days is actually already too much.
  • Do you consume stimulants several times a week?
    – Even small amounts can damage the immune system.
  • Do you often wake up tense or have headaches?
Do you change your pillow frequently?
Are you still tired after getting up?
  • Stress: These are the most common symptoms of chronic stress:
    • Do you feel unfocused and do a lot of things at the same time?
    • Do you suffer from frequent head, back or chest pain?
    • Do you sometimes have the feeling of palpitations, heart palpitations or tightness in your chest?
    • Do you read the news shortly after getting up?
    • Do you often feel emotionally “carried away” by news?
    • (For women)
Are your periods irregular, painful or often absent?
    • Are they easily irritable?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you should have your immune system checked!

What is the immune system?

White blood cells often represent the immune system.
However, there are many different types of white blood cells.
These different immune cells all have very specific tasks.
They can even exchange information with each other.
For example, some cells specialize in destroying everything that does not belong in the body.
Other cells have the sole task of storing the “fingerprint” of a pathogen and sounding the alarm when they encounter it.

Lymphatic organs such as the lymph nodes are also an important part of the immune system.
Lymph nodes are filter stations for the tissue water that is transported from the body cells through the lymphatic channels.
With their filter function, they act as an early warning system for other immune cells.

Macrophage
The microscopic image of a scavenger cell (colored).

The tonsils in the throat or the appendix (at the end of the appendix) also act as an early warning system in critical areas.
They inform the other immune cells when unwanted pathogens enter the body.

There are numerous factors that influence the function of the immune system.
In addition to diseases of the immune system itself, latent chronic inflammation also plays a significant role.
An unfavorable diet or stimulants can promote inflammatory reactions in the body.
However, inflammation requires the cooperation of immune cells, which are then missing elsewhere.

The lack of certain nutrients means that the body can produce fewer immune cells.

Stress, in turn, has an influence on hormones that weaken the immune system.
This is because constant readiness to perform requires energy, which is taken away from other bodily functions.

And, of course, sleep is also a very important factor.
Night-time regeneration enables the body to allow immune cells to work undisturbed.

The immune system is integrated into many different organ functions in the human body.
Our body’s own defense system can only do its job successfully if all systems function smoothly.
