Dossier / About me

The science of cybernetics deals with the control and regulation of machines, living organisms and social organizations and is also described as “the art of control”.

My interest in cybernetics was sparked as early as my youth. At first, I was fascinated by the technical aspects of cybernetics, particularly in the fields of computer science and control engineering. I was also interested in the fields of systems theory and behavioral biology (especially horses and dogs).

In the context of biocybernetics, the human being is a self-regulating system. However, this self-regulation can be disrupted, for example, by injuries, illnesses, or other factors. In complementary medicine, the “art of regulation” refers to the targeted activation of the body’s self-healing abilities so that the body’s self-regulation can function properly again.

Osteopathy and acupuncture are excellent treatment techniques for controlling autoregulation.

From my own experience, I have learned that sport and exercise support autoregulation very well.

I first had athletic ambitions 25 years ago. The Triathlon inspired me in particular. But I’m also learning that the wrong kind of training can quickly sap my motivation.

For 20 years, I have been practicing the classical Pilates method—just as Josef Pilates developed it in the last century—as well as running. I consider running to be the primal form of functional movement. For me, discovering the natural functionality of the human body through running is an exciting journey through the complex biomechanics of the human body and, in this context, back to the roots of human evolution.

For the past 15 years, I have been regularly competing in races as part of the “Vegan Runners.” In addition to running, I trained for stair-climbing competitions for several years and participated in international tower-running events.
